Links to other hoopers

A couple of links to other hoop dancers that inspire me. If you want to search yourself: google on ‘hoop dance’ or ‘hoop flow’, because just ‘hoop’ usually takes you to earrings. If you have link suggestions, please share them!

  • Karin de Wit of Movin’ Circle. My hoop dance teacher since 2009, and in 2012 for a short teacher’s course. Her on-line lessons still fill me with new moves and inspiration.
  • Deanne Love’s YouTube channel. With her I did my teacher’s course. She has a great way to break down and show moves and exercises. Should you want to book an on-line course with her, please do so through my affiliate program.
  • Baxter’s YouTube channel. Baxter is one of the founders of modern hoop dance.
  • Allie Hetherington from CircusArts. Some tricks are maybe too complicated (she’s a Circus School teacher), but with her clear break-down you’ll go far.
  • The Vegan Hooper I was taken by her tutorial ‘Windmill, the easy version’, but she has a lot more in stock.
  • Monica Marie Pinkus. By accident I found her ‘Atomic Fold’ and she showed a lot more. Unusual moves with twin hoops and elegant flowing dances.
  • Hip Hoop Hooray. See how she seperates 5 hoops on her body!
  • Course mate Eden Joy Hemmingson. Even in heave winter clothing she performs a mean snow day improvisation.
  • Course mate Mel Day who combines flamenco with hoop dance.
