NEW TOUR 2025!!

(Click here for the complete tour description as document.)

Sifnos belongs to the West Cyclades islands and is situated in the Egean Sea. It’s easily accessible through the airports of Athens, Mykonos, Naxos or Santorini, or from one of the other Cyclades, by ferryboat.

The first night you’ll stay in Athens. Should you come from another Cyclades island, you’ll stay the first night on Sifnos as well.

Because Sifnos has such an extensive network of trails, we offer six beautiful walks, so there is plenty to choose from for all difficulty levels. During the walks you’ll get to know the island’s history through the ancient paths, the monasteries and chapels.

First you stay in Apollonia in the heart of the island’s interior, with its higgledy-piggledy white-washed streets and cozy traditional taverns. After you’ve explored the south, it’s time to really stretch your legs on the classic walk around the Profitis Ilias to laid-back Kamares, the port of Sifnos, where you’ll stay for the second part of your holiday.

It’s a tour for active people that desire peace and nature and enjoy well-marked routes in a varied innerland.

About the walks
The walks mostly take place on small unsurfaced roads: gravel roads, footpaths and mountain trails. The section down to Kamares is a steep down hill. If you very afraid of heights or suffer from acrophobia, this may be challenging. It is a very short section only.

Mostly the net walking time is 4-5 hours, usually you may choose from two routes.

The paths are good, though there may be loose stones and some parts may be steep. We thus recommend you to start the tour well trained and prepared with well worn-in ankle-high walking boots.
